SOUTHEND United midfielder Cav Miley has been ruled out for 'a number of weeks' with a thigh injury.
Miley suffered the injury in the 2-0 win at Woking at the start of October.
But scan results have now shown the influential 28-year-old is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
"Cav has had the scan and he's going to be out for a number of weeks," confirmed Blues boss Kevin Maher.
Miley started all 50 games for the Shrimpers last season and was voted the club's player of the year.
