WESTCLIFF upset the odds to bag a brilliant 47-36 win against Tring.
Westcliff went into the game at the Gables at the foot of the Regional One South East standings while Tring sat fourth.
But Westcliff were still able to secure a shock success, much to the delight of head coach Jimmy Rea.
"It was an absolutely fantastic game, not necessarily for me as a coach but definitely for the spectators," said Rea.
"The lads were outstanding.
"To only give away two scrums all game, to run in eight tries and to stick to a game plan for the full 80 and to defend like Spartans for that last 10 to 15 minutes I couldn’t be prouder."
Westcliff remain bottom of the table but are now just five points behind Hertford who they head to on Saturday.
And Rea is looking for his side to kick on.
"The win is fantastic and I’ll let the boys enjoy it until 7pm on Tuesday but then we need to go back to work," said Rea.
"We have to back that up this weekend and we have to build consistency."
