SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Altrincham.
It is what it is. We aren't getting hammered but with the players we have got and available it is hard to challenge the better teams. It will get harder with it looking like we won't be able to recruit before December then no one will want to release players over Xmas/New Year.
@YeattsMatthew
Lacked any real rhythm or sharpness as the missed chances showed. Will need to be on our A game next weekend to avoid a hammering. Let’s hope the NL do something to level things up numbers wise otherwise it’s going to be a pretty one sided affair.

The result was disappointing hampered by the continued embargo but we go again next Saturday.
@phillsilver9
Missed opportunity today with us not taking our chances again. A little concerning that neither striker scored again,especially Cardwell & our lack of players ultimately cost us. Let’s pray the takeover completes this week so we can get the embargo lifted to strengthen the squad!

Altrincham were good but they didn't have to be great to beat us today, we weren't really at it but saying that we had two great chances at 0-0 which we should be scoring to take the lead. Lacked any real threat throughout the game
@SearchTerry
To quote the Altrincham commentators - “two good sides difference is we took our chances”
@AndrewHackling
First half poor second half better but needed to take our chances. Well done to Altrincham who play good football. Onto Chesterfield which will be tough but at least we're at home with hopefully new owners.

Couple of very good missed chances, if converted would’ve been the opposite score. Played well but Altrincham more clinical this time. Pitch was in bad condition but understood with recent weather up there. Felt a little off compared to most performances this season.
@WhiteShadowII
Played really well. But Cardwell's misses were poor. Not much more the team can do, when you put them on a plate for your striker and he misses them both.
