SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's memorable 2-1 win against Chesterfield.
Just simply, heroes, each and every one of them, managers, players and club staff. This is fast approaching my favourite set of players to have ever worn the badge ! I thank them all.
@harrisufc
Seem to say it every week but these boys are something special. To play like that, against the best team in the league and with only two subs, was nothing short of exceptional. An absolute joy to watch them. So incredibly proud to be a Shrimper tonight!
@Jones616Kevin
Truly incredible again. I’m always proud to be a Shrimper, especially so when we’ve been so bad in past seasons, but days like today is why we all stick with it! I’ll forever be speechless with how this team play. They’re such a joy to watch and I bloody love them all
@Ljarvis27
Warriors. Absolute warriors. Never know when to roll over. Gutsy, bodies on the line, never giving up. So, so proud of them in a match I think few thought we could win. Best opposition we've faced and we raised our game to match them and then some.
@Kaylalula
Fantastic game. Players never gave up - imagine what the Three Amigos could do with a squad of players? A very happy Shrimper house this evening.
@SimonGDodd
We were passionate, resolute, intense, determined and just excellent ! Feeling absolute PRIDE in my club after that result. From Kev and the boys to the fans, class commitment and a result fully deserved.
@cjcsouthend
We were a little scrappy the first half second half we improved and we played well in the second half. To go into a game with two or three subs and to play against the team that’s top of the league and to win is something really special.
@lydylyd
A truly astonishing win against a very good team. We kept our shape, dug deep, rode our luck and ran out worthy winners. Boom! Seven points from the play-offs.
@Raycrud
Unbelievable win! Well deserved too. Some added quality in the attacking areas needed to put away the chances that are being created & I think we could be in for a shout of the play-offs.
@JayDavis93
Not all superheroes wear capes, but some wear Southend United football shirts. Unbelievable group of players.
@johnfrench52
What an advert for non league football that match was. Forget those hoof ball matches on those awful hybrid pitches this was quality drama played in an old fashion stadium with a grass pitch and no VAR to disrupt the tempo.
