ON LOAN Southend United striker Daniel Kanu has spoken of his pride after making his international debut.
Kanu, who is with the Shrimpers from Charlton Athletic, came off the bench for Sierra Leone in the 58th minute of their 2-0 defeat to Egypt in a World Cup qualifier.
And Kanu tweeted after the game: "Honoured to have made my international debut for Sierra Leone."
Kanu has scored four games in five games for Blues but missed Saturday's 2-1 win against Chesterfield while on international duty.
