SOUTHEND United have been outmuscling their National League opponents this season - thanks to a new partnership with TruGym.

The Shrimpers have brushed aside their off-field issues to record a number of impressive results.

And Rylee Doe, Blues’ Commercial Executive, has praised TruGym for the part they played in keeping the squad in shape.

“We’re so grateful to Roisin and the rest of the team at TruGym for opening their doors and allowing the team to put in some extra sessions,” said Doe.

“I’m sure that TruGym’s generosity has made a big impact in helping the lads give 100 per cent in every match.

“We look forward to continuing our healthy relationship together”

The Shrimpers regularly use the facilities at the gym.

And TruGym Thorpe Bay manager Roisin is pleased to have the players in attendance.

“It’s great to have linked up with Southend United and to be able to help them however we can,” said Roisin.

“We wanted to reach out and help the squad and the staff when we saw times were tough but it’s great things are now starting to look up.

“The players and staff are always welcome to use the facilities we have.”
