SOUTHEND United midfielder Mauro Vilhete made his international debut tonight.
The 30-year-old started for Sao Tome and Principe against Namibia and played 72 minutes of their World Cup qualifier with Nambia.
However, Vilhete was unable to stop Sao Tome and Principe suffering a 2-0 defeat.
Prins Tjiueza put Namibia in front after just nine minutes before an own goal from Pedro Leonardo Goncalves Mateus sealed their win 15 minutes from time.
