FORMER Concord Rangers boss Danny Cowley has been named manager of League Two strugglers Colchester United.
The former head of PE at Rayleigh's FitzWimarc School has been out of management since parting company with Portsmouth in January 2023.
But he has now agreed to take charge of the U's and will again be working alongside his brother Nicky.
Colchester are currently third from bottom in League Two, five points above the relegation zone.
The U's have been beaten in eight of their last nine games.
