SOUTHEND United's match with Wealdstone has been postponed for a second time.
The Shrimpers had been due to take on Stuart Maynard's side at Roots Hall tonight but the match has been called off because of a frozen pitch.
A post on the club's website confirmed: "Covers have been in place at Roots Hall since temperatures began to drop, however an early pitch inspection was carried out on Tuesday morning by a local referee and deemed the pitch unplayable.
"Ground staff worked tirelessly to cover the problematic South Stand area in the best effort to get the fixture on, however with the freezing temperatures overnight, and those expected again early this evening, the decision was made to postpone the game.
"Tickets and hospitality purchased for this game will remain valid for the rearranged match which will be announced in due course."
Blues had originally been due to host Wealdstone in early December but that match was also postponed due to the weather.
