SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is looking into extending Henry Sandat's loan spell from Hull City.

Sandat's month long deal from the Tigers expires next Tuesday.

But Maher would be keen on extending the deal if possible.

"We’ve had conversations on that," said Maher.

"We’ll speak to Hull as well and if we could do that we will do."

Sandat has scored one in five games since coming back to Blues on loan in December.

The 18-year-old striker came through the youth ranks at Roots Hall and scored once in 12 appearances during his first spell with his hometown club.
