CONCORD Rangers stretched their unbeaten run to four games with a second goalless draw in the space of four days - drawing 0-0 at home to relegation rivals Haringey Borough.

It was a lively start at Thames Road with the visitors from London threatening an early breakthrough with Bobson Bawling seeing a lobbed effort drop wide and Mekhi Leacock-McLeod having a long range strike comfortably saved by Mason Terry.

The West Ham United loanee would then be called into action again just past the 20 minute mark.

After Mohammed Kahdum's strike had hit the foot of the post, Borough recycled play with Leacock-McLeod cutting inside from the left and having a strike beaten away at his near post by Terry.

Haringey would continue to dominate proceedings and two minutes later they were denied by the woodwork for a second time with a Kahdum effort from range hitting the post after the former Worthig midfielder had pinched possession from Max Hudson.

Concord's first notable opportunity of the game came just past the half hour mark through Amine Sassi.

A Beach Boys freekick from the left hand side was whipped towards the far corner by Sassi, but the winger was denied of a second goal in three games with Dillon Barnes making a flying save to keep the hosts at bay.

Then in first half injury time Haringey would go close with a freekick of their own.

Kahdum let fly from 20 yards out but saw his strike rattle the crossbar, Dan Casey-Evans then reacted to quickest to bundle home the loose ball but was adjudged to be offside and the goal was chalked off.

The second period was much quieter on Canvey Island with the two strugglers unable to break one another down.

Both teams would miss guilt edge opportunities with James Collins of Haringey and Ricky Modeste of Concord both sending free headers off target.

As the final whistle edged closer Concord looked the more likely of the two sides to score, but Sammy Collins' men found themselves unable to carve out any threatening opportunities and the tie fizzled out to a goalless draw.

A third draw in four games for Concord means they are now six games unbeaten at Thames Road, not losing on home turf since October, as they move to within five points of safety with three games in hand of 18th place Cheshunt.

A share of the spoils means Haringey remain level on points with Concord although they are now winless in four.
