GEORGE Wind is eager for Billericay Town to maintain their momentum when they host Folkestone Invicta this weekend.

Third placed Town moved a point behind second placed Chatham Town with a fine 2-1 win at Enfield Town on Tuesday night.

But Wind is now seeking more of the same on Saturday as Billericay continue their push for promotion from the Isthmian Premier Division.

“Momentum is massive for us at the moment, so it’s very important that we follow up the performance from Tuesday night and take that into this weekend against Folkestone,” said Wind.

“Again they are a decent side who can cause us some problems so we’re expecting a tough game.

“But it’s been a positive start to the year so hopefully we can start another good run beginning with a win on Saturday.”

Billericay will head into the game on a high after their midweek win which saw them fight back from a goal down to triumph.

Marcus Wyllie put the hosts in front after just 15 minutes before Bradley Stevenson levelled from the penalty spot just eight minutes later.

Richard Asamoah then bagged the winner 20 minutes from time and Wind was thrilled with the win.

“It was a great result on the road last night against Enfield,” said Wind.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game going into it.

“They are a strong, physical side and I felt as though we matched that.

“Our quality on the ball then helped us win the game and get the vital three points.”

And Wind was also happy to help make that happen by continuing his own fine form.

“The season for me has been brilliant so far,” said Wind.

“I’m feeling super confident and really enjoying my football at the minute.

“This has been helped by the performances and results us as a team have been producing.

“We have some great players and personalities to be around.”

But Wind is still hoping the best is yet to come.

“Our aim at the very start of the season was to get promoted and this still hasn’t changed,” said Wind.

“We know what we are capable of as a team and we will keep pushing until the very end.”
