SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has revealed Harry Taylor will be out of action for at least the next fortnight.

Taylor injured his hamstring during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Gateshead on Saturday.

And the defender will now be spending time on the sidelines.

"Harry still hasn't trained this week and we’ll give him as long as possible but it’s probably going to be at least two or three weeks to see where he’s at," said Maher.

"Hamstrings are notoriously dangerous but we’ll see how he is and get him scanned in the next couple of days."

Taylor has made 28 appearances for Blues so far this season and looks set to be replaced in the starting line-up by Adam Crowther for Saturday's clash with York City at Roots Hall.
