CANVEY Island saw off Billericay Town 3-0 at the Movie Starr Stadium on Saturday.
Sam Higgins fired the Gulls in front after 28 minutes before the visitors were reduced to 10 men just three minutes later when Adam Leathers was shown a second yellow card.
Higgins bagged his second goal of the game five minutes before Billericay substitute Louis Ramsay was sent off six minutes from time.

Tobi Tinubu then completed the scoring late on as 13th placed Canvey completed the double over the third placed visitors in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Elsewhere, 12th placed Hashtag United fought back from 2-0 down against Carshalton Athletic to draw 2-2, thanks to a brace from substitute Misha Djemaili.
In Isthmian North, Basildon United suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wroxham.
Ben Allen fired the eighth placed Bees in front from the penalty spot before the hosts came back to triumph.
In the Essex Senior League, White Ensign moved 15th after a 2-2 draw at Frenford.
Goals from Kyle McAlinden and Henry Hart put Ensign two goals ahead before the hosts hit back to secure a share of the spoils.
Great Wakering Rovers saw their FA Vase clash at Highworth Town called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
