BILLERICAY Town’s Women’s side bagged a 1-1 draw with MK Dons at New Lodge on Sunday.

Maddie Biggs bagged a last minute equaliser for Town who are now 10th in the 12 team FA Women’s National League - Southern Premier Division Table.

Town boss James Gibson told the club's Twitter account: "I think you saw two good footballing teams.

"You can see the good tempo of the game and not every team in the league wants to play passing football at that kind of tempo.

"That tends to be why games get affected in quality and rhythm.

"But today you had two teams who tried to play and both of them were really going for the win.

"Our backline defended well and when we showed we valued the ball in midfield you saw our flow of play.

"There were lots of positives plus we got a result.

"It wasn't the result we wanted but I think you have to respect the efforts of both teams and I think that was a draw in terms of the performance as well as result."

In Division One South of the Eastern Region Women's Football League, Southend United's Ladies side drew 1-1 at Stanway Pegasus.

Ellie Nicholls was on target for the Shrimpers who are second in the table.
