SOUTHEND United have slipped to 20th in the National League standings following Tuesday night's matches.
Dorking Wanderers triumphed 1-0 at York City to move above the Shrimpers while there was also an impressive victory for AFC Fylde who won 5-0 at Aldershot Town.
Blues now sit one place above the relegation zone with only goal difference keeping them ahead of the bottom four.
The Shrimpers head to bottom of the table Oxford City this weekend and do have games in hand on the sides around them.
