SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 4-1 win against Aldershot Town.

A really awful first half, punished for messing about at the back. The sending off changed the game. We did what you should do against ten men, and a couple of quality finishes from Wood and Dackers. But 4-1 flatters us after that first 45.

@Lord_Football

Lucky we scored so quickly after they went down to 10 men. We usually can’t break 10 men down, but as we scored, it meant they couldn’t try and close the game out. Was impressed with Waldron all game. We do need to move the ball quicker though. Three points though, all that matters.

@harrisufc

Wow, that was some half time team talk!

@robertaskew7

Chalk and cheese. Not at the races first half and although red card helped we were top drawer second half and ruthless. Pleased for all four scorers but for me Crowther and Waldron stand outs today. Waldron's best game so far looking fitter and stronger each game. Man of the match for me.

@shrimperjon

Jack Wood going all Lionel Messi for that third goal.

@Matt_Bacon36

The Aldershot manager's son is a professional on Strictly Come Dancing and the way Jack Wood danced through their defence for his goal would have got him a 10 from all the judges.

First half was terrible. Red card changed the game and only one winner from that point onwards. I’ll take the luck from the ref all day. We’ve been owed that after the horrendous officials all season! First half performance still a little bit worrying though.

@mattysufc

First half was the usual story with loads of the ball but going behind to an unnecessary mistake. Second half was superb. Obviously the red card helped but we looked a different team after our first goal. Thought Wood was brilliant when he came on.

@DanDobisz

In control then a mistake enabled them to score. Fortunate red card, others players close by and should have been yellow. Ref made some bad decisions but used to that. We capitalised on the player advantage and only one team was going to win. Well played lads and more Tuesday.

@BryanWoodford

Waldron a shining light in a below par first half and his hard work continued and paved the way for the result into the second. Congratulations to Ollie on the 100th appearance and goal.

@JamieWSF

Red card was very iffy. It changed the game. Waldron was excellent. Never stopped running.

@unwizeneds

Red card definitely changes the game. First half showed that Aldershot weren't scared to take a shot from outside the area, and it lead to a goal and one smashing off the cross bar. The quicker we break the more opportunities like that we get! Not sure why I'm complaining, we won!
