SOUTHEND United head coach Kevin Maher was pleased to see Ollie Kensdale bring up his century of Shrimpers appearances in fine style.
The centre-back scored his first goal of the season in Blues’ 4-1 win against Aldershot Town before having to go off late on after suffering a nasty looking cut below his eye.
And Maher was happy Kensdale hit the back of the net on his landmark display.
“I’m delighted for him on his 100th game and I thought he showed great composure to bring it down,” said Maher.
“He’s had an eventful day because he’s got a cut as well but he’s a proper centre-half now.
“But I’m really pleased for him and he deserved that goal.”
