CONCORD Rangers suffered a 3-0 defeat against table-topping Hornchurch.
Femi Akinwande bagged a hat-trick for the leaders to leave the Beach Boys 20th in the Isthmian Premier Division standings.
Concord remain four points from safety but have five games in hand on Margate who sit just above the drop zone.
In Isthmian North, Basildon United were beaten 4-2 at Walthamstow.
Samir Ali bagged a brace for the Bees but it was not enough to prevent the defeat.
In the Essex Senior League, ninth placed Great Wakering Rovers lost 1-0 at home to table-topping Tilbury while eighth placed Hullbridge Sports drew 1-1 with Little Oakley
