BOWERS & Pitsea are just two points behind Isthmian North leaders Lowestoft Town after a 2-1 win at Basildon United on Saturday.

Malakai Hyman and Geofrey Okonkwo netted for Bowers inside the opening 18 minutes and that was enough for James Collins' side to make nine victories in a row despite Kye Jude getting a goal back for Basildon.

The Bees are now 10th in the table.

In the Isthmian Premier Division, already relegated Concord Rangers fought back to win 3-2 at Hashtag United.

Goals from Camilo Restrepo and Alex Teniola put the Tags 2-0 ahead before Frederick Agyemang got a goal back for the Beach Boys.

Simo Mbonkwi made it 2-2 in the 87th minute before Agyemang netted the winner two minutes into stoppage time.

Concord are now 20th with Hashtag dropping to 10th.

Billericay Town made it four wins in a row after beating Cheshunt 2-1 at New Lodge in front of a crowd of  1,055

Alfie Cerulli and Moses Emmanuel scored for sixth placed Billericay who remain three points behind the play-off places, albeit having played more games than the sides around them.

Canvey Island remain 17th after losing 2-0 to Dulwich Hamlet at the Movie Starr Stadium.

In the Essex Senior League, Hullbridge Sports dropped to 11th after losing 2-1 to Takeley at the TJ Cottis Stadium.

Zayshaun Asamoah put Sports in front but the visitors recovered to take all three points.

Elsewhere, White Ensign drew 1-1 at Athletic Newham.

 

Mechack Asuka netted for Ensign who are 14th in the table.
