RYAN Peniston has recovered from an ankle injury in time to try and qualify for the French Open.

Peniston, who is from Great Wakering, has been out for the past three months but will return to action in Paris where he faces a tough looking clash in qualifying against former world number 39 JJ Wolf.

Peniston confirmed: "After three months of rehab and being away from the match court we are finally back.

"I will be competing in the French Open Qualifying.

"It’s been a blessing in disguise being able to spend so much time at home with loved ones.

" I’ve also been itching to get back

"Thanks to all of my team and everyone who has supported me over the last three months to get me to this point."
