SOUTHEND United midfielder Noor Husin will need surgery to solve a troublesome shin problem.
Husin missed five games towards the end of last season before coming off the bench against Rochdale on the final day of the campaign.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher has confirmed Husin requires an operation to regain full fitness.
“He will need an op,” said Maher.
“Hopefully it’s done as soon as possible so we can get him back during pre-season which is always an important time for any player.”
Husin joined the Shrimpers from Dartford in January 2022 and has scored eight goals in 94 appearances.
