SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher did not agree with the decision to award Dagenham & Redbridge a penalty in Monday's 2-2 draw at Roots Hall.
Referee Daniel Middleton pointed to the spot after adjudging Shrimpers wing-back Jack Bridge to have brought down Dion Pereira inside the penalty area midway through the first half.
But Maher felt it was an incorrect call which led to Reece Grego Cox scoring from 12 yards
"I’ve seen it back and I think it’s outside the box," said Maher.
"The assessor spoke to someone up there as well and said their player wasn’t getting the ball anyway.
"It’s one of them and the decisions all afternoon were frustrating to say the least.
"It’s had an affect again."
Blues have now conceded penalties in their last two games after Barnet's Mark Shelton also scored from the point in Saturday's clash at the Hive.
