SOLIHULL Moors boss Andy Whing offered an honest assessment of his side’s performance following Saturday’s 4-2 defeat against Southend United.
Moors went into the game hoping to record a third win in succession.
But Whing admitted Solihull were nowhere near their best.
“I thought we were really poor and it really bugs me,” Whing told the club’s YouTube channel.
“We’ve played so well and worked so hard in the last couple of weeks but we were very poor today.
“The first half was embarrassing and we didn’t get anywhere near them.”
And Whing also thought Solihull did not have to work for their goals.
“They’ve given us two goals, we haven’t earnt them at all and it was really poor,” said Whing.
“They were clinical and I have to say I thought Macauley Bonne was outstanding.
“We lost our battles and they looked like they wanted it more than us.
“They worked harder off the ball and I’m really disappointed with our players.”
