CALLUM Boylan is back at Great Wakering Rovers.
The goal-getting striker left Burroughs Park to sign for Stanway Rovers at the end of last season.
But Boylan is now delighted to be back with Marcus Bowers’ side who top the Essex Senior League table.

“I’m very pleased,” said Boylan.
“After how much I enjoyed last season, with the goals I scored, to the FA Vase run all the way to the final I felt it was the right thing to come back.
“It also helped with knowing most of the players and the management team and with their backing and belief in me it was a no brainer.”
Boylan netted on his Rovers return on Saturday as he scored in his side’s 5-1 win against Halstead Town.
And the striker is already enjoying being reunited with his team-mates.
“I was just missing the enjoyment in my football and the season I had last season at Wakering reminded me of the good times we had and how well we played in parts last season.” said Boylan.
“That’s what made my decision in the end.
“Not much has changed at Wakering either, there’s obviously been a few changes in players but that was to be expected.
“The new players have settled in nicely and there is a similar vibe to last season with the players and long may it continue.”
Wakering are currently a point clear of Stanway Rovers with a game in hand.
But Boylan believes he is still working his way back to his best.
“The matches I have played in this season have been very good but I’m still finding my rhythm,” said Boylan.
“However I have continued my goalscoring form even though I should have got more but that stuff happens and I am looking forward to the matches coming up.”
Wakering face a crunch clash at third placed Woodford Town this weekend.
And Boylan is setting his sights high for the remainder of the season.
“My hopes and the team’s hopes are to win the league and try and challenge for all the cups,” said Boylan.
“We know it’s going to be difficult but we have the squad to cope with the challenge.
“There are very good sides in this league so we know we need to be on it every week if we are to fulfil these ambitions but we are confident we can beat anyone on our day.”
Elsewhere in the Essex Senior League this weekend, seventh placed Benfleet head to West Essex who are fifth in the standings.
Hullbridge Sports, who are 13th, travel to fifth placed Takeley while 14th placed White Ensign take on eighth placed Saffron Walden Town at Burroughs Park.
