SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Wednesday night's 0-0 draw at Aldershot Town.
Lovely kit.

The work-ethic, intensity and effort of the players can't be faulted, they put in a real shift. But for all their hard work, the lack of attacking quality was also very apparent. We'll hang around mid-table unless better quality attackers are found and brought in.

Three clean sheets is great, and we are looking difficult to break down again, but we won’t play many more ineffective teams away from home than that this season. They had a non-existent midfield. Feels like an opportunity lost but we showed little cutting edge ourselves.
@piershewitt
Just got home. Clean sheet & we were the best team but couldn’t capitalise. Disappointed.
@clarebear62_b
Never seen one side have so many ineffective corners in one game. Dominated all over the pitch but then clueless up front.
@Davemallam
dominated the whole game and should have won, need to convert the chances into goals; we need to learn to shoot earlier. Nevertheless, a 3rd clean sheet in a row and a strong defensive performance just lacking that cutting edge in attack. Let’s go again on Saturday.
@callum_southend
Controlled the game but really lack that cutting edge in the final 3rd. Seems as though we are too scared to shoot in and around the edge of the box. Otherwise performance was excellent just didn’t capitalise and get a goal.
@dan_mays86
Got to be pleased with a third clean sheet but continue to struggle in the final third. Need a bit more quality and know how up front, until we do games could go either way.
@AndrewHackling
Can't fault the effort!! A clean sheet and point away from home and controlled the game for large periods. But feels like two points lost rather than one gained.
@samgibbs23
Improved performance but yet again no cutting edge up front. Four wins in 15 games is concerning to say the least.
