SOUTHEND United striker Slavi Spasov missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Carlisle with a quad issue.
Spasov had started four of the last five matches for the Shrimpers but was unable to feature against the Cumbrians at Roots Hall.

Blues boss Kevin Maher explained: “It’s not too bad but it’s one of those where if he started and got a knock on it he would have to come off.
"Likewise if he came off the bench and you might waste a player doing that.
"We had subs who were fully fit and ready to go but hopefully he'll be fine."
