SOUTHEND United ladies side suffered a 4-2 defeat at Wormley Rovers on Sunday.
The Shrimpers now sit one position and one point above Hertford Town in the solitary relegation place after suffering a third consecutive Eastern Region Women’s Football League Division One South reverse.
However, Nick Sheldrick’s side have their fate in their own hands with five matches remaining and games in hand on their relegation rivals.
