SOUTHEND United boss Kieron Dyer says Harry Taylor still has an important part to play for the Shrimpers this season.
The defender was left out of the squad for Saturday’s 3-1 win at Solihull Moors.

But Dyer hinted Taylor would soon be called upon after working his way back from an injury-hit pre-season campaign.
“He’s probably had the best two weeks since we’ve been at the football club,” said Dyer.
“He’s been playing catch-up and he’s up to speed.
“He shows real quality and we know he’s got a very important part to play, maybe in the next two or three games.”
Dyer has selected Taylor as Blues’ vice-captain this season but the centre-back has played for a total of just six minutes in the opening three games of the campaign.
The 29-year-old could be back in the squad tonight with attacking midfielder Rico Richards the only confirmed absentee with a hamstring injury.
