BLUES boss Steve Tilson wants his troubled team to get back on the winning trail tomorrow.

Southend have slipped to 17th in the League One standings after enduring an indifferent run of results.

But Tilson is sure the Shrimpers can triumph against Bristol Rovers.

“Being at home this is a match we can win and it’s a massive few days for us,” said the Seasiders chief.

“We have Scunthorpe at home on Tuesday as well so it’s an important time.

“We would love to go into that match on the back of a win and, although things are hard at the moment, we can definitely do that.”

However for that to happen, the Shrimpers must keep Rovers’ top goalscorer Rickie Lambert quiet.

“He got four goals against us last time we played them,” recalled Tilson.

“And we certainly can’t be letting him do that again.”
