BILLERICAY Town joint boss Jason Broom reckons his side need to win 12 or 13 of their last 18 league games if they are to be in the play-off push.

Despite a battling home league success over AFC Hornchurch last week, and an edgy League Cup win over Division One North Waltham Abbey on Tuesday, lack of consistency still worried the team New Lodge managerial team.

For that reason Broom held a meeting with the players at last night’s training session – ahead of tomorrow’s clash at Sutton United – to make sure that everyone was singing from the same hymn sheet.

“We’ve played a lot of the leading teams twice now but we seem to struggle against the so-called lesser sides,” he said.

“We’re not always playing together as a team and the meeting was to give everyone a chance to have their say.”
