HOCKLEY missed out on taking over as top dogs in the First Division of the Southend Indoor Cricket League when they lost by 33 runs to Hadleigh B.
Hadleigh made 119-0 for 18 points with Joe Robbins, Dan Robbins, Charlie and Gibbons all making 25 not out. Adam Soilleux was unbeaten on 24.
Hockley replied with 86-4 with Hale hitting 25 and Dell 23. Hockley got just four points and trail leaders Southend B by one.
Eastwood B collected their first win of the season when they beat Bluehouse by eight runs.
Eastwood made 87-4 thanks to Cameron Hill’s 29 not out and Kevin Robinson (27). They picked up 20 points with seven going to Bluehouse, who replied with 79 all out.
Duncan Baldwin hit 24 and Hill took 2-23.
