SIMON Francis has been getting plenty of stick this week.

He went on a shopping trip to London with his girlfriend and is claiming to have been approached by a representative from Abercrombie and Finch who enquired whether he had ever considered being a model.

Simon loves it and he’s been giving it all the billy big bananas about becoming a model.

But we’re not having any of it. He’s been given a new nickname of Abe which seems to have stuck and we think he’s telling a few porky pies about what actually happened.

Either that or Abercrombie and Finch are just about to launch a new range of gloves and balaclavas they need help marketing!

LEFT BACK'S BETTER THAN LEFT OUT

FOR the victory over Bristol Rovers the manager moved me out to left back and it’s not a problem for me to play there.

Centre-back is obviously my main position but if I’m picked at left back then it’s fine and I enjoy playing there as it enables me to get forward more.

At times you aren’t involved as much as you would be in the middle but the manager wanted to go for a more experienced line up and it was something I had to do for the team.

The main thing was that we got the three points because I felt it was a must-win game for us.

It was nice for things to finally go our way and we should really have gone on to win by a few more goals.

In the end one was enough and it really did give us a huge lift.

Because of that it was even more frustrating that our game was called off on Tuesday night, but I’ve already made my feeling clear on that in the Echo.

It was all a bit bizarre and a real shame too because I really did fancy our chances being at home to Scunthorpe.

WE PLAN TO GO TOWN AGAINST THE ROBINS

IT’S another big game for us this weekend as we go to Swindon Town.

They are a few places below us in the league table and we want there to be even more distance between us.

It’s been a disrupted week of training because of the weather.

We couldn’t train on Monday due to the snow and it was hard for people to get in.

We’re back in today though to continue our preparations and we want to go to Swindon and build on the win we had against Bristol Rovers at the weekend.
