CHAMPION Danny Dignum continued his winning ways by winning a gold medal in the Tri-Nations Great Britain Youth Championships at Everton Park, Mersey.
After a 7-1 points win over Daniel Carey, from Wales, Dignum, 17 and fighting in the under-69 kilos category, took the title with a 5-2 success over felloiw England boxer Anthony Carolan. Dignum is a member of the Brentwood Youth Boxing Club and lives at Bowers Gifford.
Near neighbour George Veness, 16, who fights for Newham at under-54 kilos level, collected silver.
After a 12-0 whitewash win over C Liddel (Scotland) he lost to Zack Davis, from Wales, in the final.
