CANVEY Island Football Club have announced a major summer signing for their forthcoming campaign.
Striker James Rowe, 26, joins the club after appearing at the Brockwell Stadium during last Saturday’s 1-1 friendly draw with Blue Square South Braintree Town. Rowe, a prolific goalscorer with former clubs AFC Sudbury and Leiston, joins Gulls on a one-year contract.
Canvey manager John Batch said: “James is a player I have been after for sometime and I am extremely pleased to have secured his services.”
He is a proven goalscorer and he has all the attributes a manager is looking for in a top striker.
Gulls hope to announce further signings over the coming week.
