BLUES midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe is hoping for an immediate recall against Leeds United this Friday.

The Frenchman missed last week’s 3-0 triumph over Leyton Orient with a one-match ban.

But the 22-year-old is keen to regain his place in the team.

“Now I am available it is up to the manager if I get my chance,” said Christophe, who was replaced by Damian Scannell against the O’s.

“I guess for him that is a good problem to have as we won the last game.

“We’ve found the keys to unlock a win now so hopefully we can do that against Leeds again.

“I saw in the paper that they are unbeaten so it is down to us to try and stop their run and I would love to be involved.”

Christophe was forced to sit out the derby clash with Orient after being shown two yellow cards at Swindon Town.

It was the first time he had been sent off in his career.

And he therefore did not know what to do.

“I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to do so I just stayed in the changing rooms with Alf Bilby until half-time when I was told I could watch from the stands,” said Christophe.

“At the time I was really disappointed as it was a bad decision.

“The referee got it wrong and when it was shown on the TV everyone knew I wasn’t a liar.”
