SEAN Morrison is determined to bounce back from a nightmare start to his Southend United career.

The 18-year-old centre-back, who is on loan with the Shrimpers from Swindon Town, was sent off on his debut at Yeovil Town on Saturday.

But he is still confident of enjoying a successful month loan stay at Roots Hall."I thought it would be good for me to come here and get some games and that's still the case," said Morrison.

"Before coming to the club I spoke to Alex Revell, who is on loan from Southend at Swindon, and he told me it would do me good to come here.

"He said that playing alongside someone like Adam Barrett would be beneficial for me because he's a good defender and very experienced.

"And I'm looking forward to the games I'll have here next to him."
