THORPE Bay’s Alleyn Court reigned supreme when 17 teams competed in the Southend primary schools end of season tournament.
Teams took part in four leagues with the winners of each playing in the main cup event, the second placed line-ups in the shield competition and the third placed squads in the plate!
The winners of the cup final were Alleyn Court and runners up were Temple Sutton’s A team.
St Michael’s won the shield from Bournes Green and the winners of the Plate were Chalkwell from Heycroft.
The tournament was played in really good spirit and the year six girls displayed a good standard of netball. Organisers said it was really pleasing to see over 150 young netballers representing their school teams.
The tournament was organised as part of the School Sports Partnership programme and held at Southend High School for Girls in Southchurch Avenue.
