AVELEY are seeking a new manager after Rod Stringer accepted the vacant position at Blue Square South club Braintree Town.
Stringer joined the Millers in November 2007 when the club looked on course for relegation to the Essex Senior League and led them to mid-table security in his first season.
They won the Division One North title in dramatic fashion in 2008-09 and went on to finish a remarkable third in the Premier Division this season, their first at that level.
They lost 1-0 at home to Boreham Wood in their play-off semi-final.
Stringer and his management team, which includes his assistant Eddie Crace, the former Concord Rangers boss, leave Mill Field with the best wishes of all at Aveley and the club are now inviting applications for the vacant position.
All interested parties should contact club secretary Craig Johnson on 07946 438 540.
