CHESHIRE Jets picked up their first win of the league season with an emphatic 91-59 victory over Essex Pirates last night.
Jets stormed out to a 30-11 first quarter lead and never let up from there. By half time the advantage was 52-28 as Pirates struggled to cope with the flow of points from Cheshire’s offence.
Pirates were more in the match during a tight third quarter which ended 68-42 in the home team’s favour but by that time the damage had been done.
Jets signed off the match in style by opening up a 30 point lead with a convincing final stanza.
Cheshire’s Matt Schneck led all scorers with 28 points and he was ably supported by Jeremy Bell with 25.
Myles Hesson again top scored for Pirates with 19 points.
