BOWERS & Pitsea moved up from third from bottom to 10th in the Essex Senior League following their 3-2 home win over Sawbridgeworth Town.
Tom Dodkins put Bowers ahead in the third minite but Scott Williams got a 43rd-minute equaliser.
Martyn Llewellyn restored Bowers’ lead five minutes into the second half.
George Wappett restored parity for the Robins in the 54th minute, only for Sean Merchant to secure the points seven minutes from time.
Basildon United are a point behind Bowers following their 3-0 win at London APSA. Wilson Jones gave Bees a 23rd-minute lead before Taylor Smith netted in the 58th minute and secured his brace three minutes from the final whistle.
Third-placed Southend Manor saw their trip to Stansted postponed, with the same fate befalling Hullbridge Sports’ match at Mauritius Sports.
