SAM Toluwase admits making his senior international debut will be the proudest moment of his career when he takes to the court on Sunday.

The Essex Pirates star will be lining up for England against Wales at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

And Toluwase, who is joined in the squad by team-mate Taner Adu, cannot wait to take on Wales.

“It’s going to be a great day and I’m really excited and proud about the prospect of playing,” said the 25-year-old.

“I would say it’s going to be the highlight of my career so far and I’ve got a lot of family coming to watch as well which makes it even more special.

“Hopefully the coach will give me a chance to play and we can get a good result, but I’m not really too sure what to expect from Wales to be honest.”

Toluwase is also not too sure what to expect from his England colleagues as the team will not match on Sunday.

The game is being played ahead of the BBL Cup final between Mersey Tigers and the Sheffield Sharks.
