Thurrock will climb out of the relegation zone for the first time in three months tomorrow if they avoid defeat at home to Welling United.
With 19th-placed Dartford not playing, a point or better for Fleet would lift them clear of the drop zone.
Welling come in to the game in fifth place, and on the back of three straight league wins.
Thurrock got a morale-boosting win at Dartford on Saturday in Grant Gordon’s first game in charge, following the departure of Greg Lincoln.
Tomorrow’s game will be the first between the two sides this season.
Last season, Welling won 3-2 at Ship Lane, and the teams played out a 2-2 at Park View Road.
