LEIGH-ON-SEA Sailing Club’s Brass Monkey race on Saturday was won by Michael Iszatt.
Nineteen competitors raced around the five lap course, with the slow handicappers completing four laps.
Wilsonian SC member Michael Iszatt sailed his RS600 class singlehander dinghy to first place, beating Thorpe Bay YC’s Chris Boshier and Kyle Shoreham in third spot.
>On Sunday the Thorpe Bay YC Frozen Sheets race attracted a fleet of 51 starters.
Race officer Phil Crawford and his team had the chance to set a testing triangular course with the competitors taking on a first beat towards the Pierhead.
Results: 1st Gareth Davies (International Moth); 2nd Kyle Stoneham (F18); 3rd Steve Hopper & Paul Dell (49er); 4th David Hall & Paul Constable (Fireball); 5th John Charles (RS600).
