COLIN Sing will return for a third season with Essex Pirates after agreeing terms with the Southend club.

Sing, who leads Pirates' all-time appearance list, was the subject of attention from numerous other clubs before committing to Pirates.

And he is delighted to be coming back.

"Having looked at other offers this summer, it's good to be coming back to the Pirates,” said Sing.

“I love Southend and I know it will be another season of hard work and improvement."

Sing again progressed last term and Pirates coach Jon Clark is pleased to again be able to work with the youngster.

“Colin is a talented individual,” said Clark.

“He can do anything on the court and play multiple positions for us.

“His speed and quickness allow him to cover a lot of ground and we’re working hard with him to become more of a force with the ball in his hands this season.

“He had several games last year where he shot the lights out from downtown and we expect more nights like that.

“He will have the green light this season and we expect him to deliver.”
