DULCIE Sverdloff will get her first cap next week after being called up to the England team.
The 16-year-old Ballards Gore cadet member will be competing for England against Scotland on Monday at the Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club in Scotland.
It is the first time the former Shoeburyness High School pupil has represented her country and she will be facing some of Scotland’s best teenagers in the schools international match.
“Being given her first call-up for England is a massive thing for Dulcie,” said proud dad Aaron Sverdloff. “She is delighted to have her got her England badge to go on her blazer.
“She is training really hard for the match.
“Dulcie is really excited about playing for her country and it gives her a chance to play her game as part of team.
“She is also hoping it will be stepping stone to other things."
Dulcie has just completed her GCSEs.
She will be starting her A-levels at Thundersley’s Seevic college.
The Southend golfer, who finished 16th at this summer's under-18 UK Championship, will be combining her studies with playing golf.
