ROWAN Vine is keen on a move to Southend United.

The 29-year-old striker scored the only goal of the game for Blues reserves against Oxford United at Roots Hall yesterday.

And he would jump at the chance to join up with Paul Sturrock’s promotion-pushing squad on a more permanent basis.

“I want to get out and get some games and would be happy to come to Southend if something gets offered to me,” said Vine.

“It’s been a frustrating last three years for me at QPR and I’ve been out of favour there under every regime.

“I’ve been an outcast and I’ve just been working hard in training hoping something could come up and that’s why I’ve come in to play for the reserves here.

“My agent spoke to Paul (Sturrock) after we put the word out and I came here with a view of trying to sort out a move.

“Now I’m just waiting to find out what will happen because I want to get games.”
