SOUTHEND United manager Paul Sturrock is mulling over a move for Rowan Vine.
The 29-year-old Queens Park Rangers striker scored for Blues’ reserves against Oxford United on Tuesday afternoon.
And Sturrock insists he has yet to decide if he will be trying to sign the forward on loan.
“Rowan certainly gave me food for thought with his performance,” said Sturrock. “But we will have to consider his fitness levels because he hasn’t played a first team game since September.
“I thought that showed in the first half for the reserves, but he warmed up in the second.
“I will mull things over in my mind and will make a decision either today or tomorrow.
“We definitely do need a striker on loan and ideally one with experience, so Rowan is definitely an option for us.”
