ALLEYN Court made it four Essex primary schools championship titles on the trot with victory in the 2012 event.

The Thorpe Bay school claimed two year groups crowns and were runners-up in a third.

It was a fitting tribute to Alleyn Court's head of PE, Paul Hart, before he retires this summer.

“We had a brilliant day and what made it even better was that I was not really expecting such a good set of results,” said Hart.

“It was my last one and to win four in a row is very pleasing, and I could not have asked for anything more.

“What’s also nice is the fact that we have done the independent schools events, the Southend Sports Partnerships events and now have done the full set with the counties.”

The top four runners in each team counted towards the team event and the Year 5 girls and Year 5 boys took the Essex titles.

The Year 6 girls claimed second place but saw Meghan Samuels claim an individual first spot to secure the county champs mantle.
