FLOAT fishing continues to be productive at Doggetts, but the drop in night temperatures still makes fishing quite difficult with maggots being the best bait for the roach, tench and bream.
Sean Pritchard fished his first ever night at Doggetts basing himself on the short arm where he landed tench, bream and a 22lb mirror.
Geoff Abbott fished the road bank banking a common of sixteen pounds and a mirror of twenty two pounds whilst bailiff and head stalker Anthony Gull landed a mid double mirror from the gaps by the reeds.
It was no surprise when Carl Poxon landed an 18lb mirror from the south bank on Eclipse boilies as his father owns the company that makes them.
John Hanks continued his run of good luck when he fished the north bank landing commons of 12lb and 13lb, plus mirrors of 19lb and 20lb.
Rob Snowden fished his first session at Doggetts this year alongside expert Thailand fishing guide Joel Fennel, left.
Snowden landed a 16lb mirror while Fennel, who was still suffering from jet-lag, enjoyed the first leg of a month-long British fishing tour by landing mirrors of 16lb and 24lb.
